Water Access
The coastline in this area of the park is all rocky and perfect for tide-pooling! The nearby Seacoast Science Center does tide pool programs sometimes.
However, it does mean traversing large rocks to get to the water. Personally, I was on my own with two littles and felt that if by some miracle we did make it down to the water area, it would be pretty dicey getting back up. Trying to balance and climb rock to rock while holding a 30lb bowling ball on one side with someone trying to hold my hand on the other side did not sound like a good time.
If you head past the playground towards the water and turn right, there is a much more accessible rocky beach. I think this is technically outside the boundaries of the State Park, but it was a win to be able to touch the water before heading out.
