Wason Pond Trails

The Wason Pond trails are spread over 103 acres with plenty of woods to explore. There are lots of trails that lead around the pond but I didn’t see any maps or markings on the trails. The Mommy, UP! team entered the woods by the edge of the main beach and followed the smallest loop around the pond. This path was less than a mile and perfect for our little people who really just wanted to play on the beach.

The trails are well maintained, wide and flat so it is toddler-walker and jogging stroller friendly. There is a gate across the access road to the beach so any stroller or wagon has to fit through the walking space. There was a consistent flow of other people enjoying the park with us, walking dogs and playing on the playground.

Make a day of it!

Complement a nice hike in the woods with playing in the sand, checking out the water and playing on the fenced in playground.

Parking

There is a large dirt parking lot to access the beach and trails. I completely missed the first entrance so I recommend looking for the Wason Pond Community Center sign and entering the parking lot by that building.
